13th IIRS Outreach Program

The Department of Geology, Aligarh Muslim University is organizing 13th IIRS outreach program on “Basics of Remote Sensing, Geographical Information system and Global Navigation Satellite System” in collaboration with Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Indian Space Research Organization, Department of Space, Government of India, Dehradun for research scholars and PG students.
Prof Liaqat AK Rao, Edusat Coordinator said that the course would commence from August 4 and conclude on 14th November 2014. He said that preference would be given to those having basic knowledge of remote sensing, GIS and GPS.
Prof Rao said that interested candidates who want to attend the programme may apply on prescribed forms available in the office of the Chairman of the Department of Geology. He said that duly filled forms verified by the Chairman of the concerned department should be submitted in the office of the Department of Geology during working hours on or before 30th July. He further informed that the training in the course would be provided free of cost.
Prof Rao said that the candidates who have completed the 9th and 11th IIRS Outreach Program need not to apply for this course.
