According to recent news by the Trade Arabia, the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has signed a contract with XD-EGEMAC, worth EGP289 million ($16.24 million), to supply Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for the power stations in Huragda and Sharm El Sheikh, said a report.
AThe project will be implemented on a turnkey system basis, Gaber Disouky, chairperson of EETC, was quoted as saying in a Daily News Egypt report.
AThe work that will be implemented by XD-EGEMAC at the Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh stations includes design, manufacture, supply, installation, training, and testing of a GIS building of 220 kV and the GIS building facility of 66 kV.
AIt will also supply a 125 MVA transformer substation with a voltage of 220/66/11 KV, supply a 10 MVA substation with a voltage of 66/11 kV, and supply a 1 MVA 1 / 0.4 kV substation.
ADisouky also said that the contract includes the supply of an 11 kV earthing facility transformer, the supply of fire extinguishing systems, protection systems, and communications, as well as all necessary electrical and civil works.
AThe contract value of the Hurghada transformer station (220/66/11 kV) is $42.886 million and the contract value of the Sharm El Sheikh transformer station (220/66/11 KV) is $3.659 million, financed from the sources of the EETC, added the report.
