Under the general supervision of the GIS Manager, performs mapping and data analysis tasks related to the Geographic Information System (GIS) to include producing graphic and tabular data to support planning activities, coordinating and maintaining the City street addressing system, creating and keeping GIS and AutoCAD coverages. The work at this level involves the creation of increasingly complex programs for the development of mapping products and a working understanding of cadastral and land management principles. Comprehend and analyze database systems and land management principles including department, user equipment and software.


  • Associate of Applied Sciences Degree with major course work in geography, Computer Aided Design (CAD) and GIS.
  • One year experience in CAD and GIS may substitute for one year of education.
  • Minimum four (4) years experience in GIS, CAD preferably AutoCAD Map and ArcGis, and Land based management software.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license required.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are required.
